The Reference Files Collection contains news clippings, maps, brochures, pamphlets, and other material related to a specific subject usually dealing with Pennsylvania history, local history, or topics related to East Stroudsburg University and the surrounding community.

The Ruth Lillian Jones Manuscript Collection includes correspondence, documents, photographs, pamphlets, publications, news clippings and awards stemming from her time as Dean of Women at East Stroudsburg University. In addition, the collection also includes personal photographs, scrapbooks, correspondence, clothing, directories, and telephone books.

Scope and Contents

Student handbooks spanning from 1930 to 2010, documenting changes in student life throughout the university's evolution. Handbooks provide an illuminating look into how students experienced life at East Stroudsburg Teachers College, East Stroudsburg State College, and today's East Stroudsburg University. These handbooks also document the unequal treatment faced by female students, stipulating discrimitory rules they were forced to follow. Multiple print copies available.

Collection of ESU summer session programs, containing information on summer courses, curricula, programming, general information about campus. Collection is incomplete, but spans from 1939-2003. Missing 1940-42, 1944, 1946, 1951-54, 1959-60, 1964-65, 2002.

Content Description The Tocks Island Dam and Delaware River Basin Commission Collection contains copies of Newspaper articles, correspondences between community leaders and the Delaware River Commission, water and archaeological reports, and comprehensive review public information meetings (loose and bound copies).
